Dan and Mike Smash were still in Smash's studio. The mosaics had really progressed since the last time Brad and I were there. More finished panels lay on the floor and a vampire movie played in the background as he took a break to talk.
How has the experience been so far? It's been really good and interesting. I've been learning about the process of creating mosaics and in a few weeks we'll be installing.
What is the most interesting thing that has happened? I've enjoyed the patterns and the work. Its a different kind of process, really meticulous which suits what i do.
Favorite Form of transportation? Boat or Sailboat.
How has this experience effected your goals? I'd like to do more murals and mosaics. We had a meeting for a new project today and its interesting to see a project in its earliest stages.
Favorite Philadelphia Landmark? The Ben Franklin Bridge
Best place to eat? Los Tacos.
What is your favorite part of the project? There is this part of the mosaic that looks like waves that Smash did. Its my favorite.
What is your favorite part of the project that you've worked on? I like the lotus blossoms and color contrast. To me the colors in glass work are richer than those in just paint.
