Meet David Thompson

David Thompson is another intern at the Potter Thomas Elementary School site. He has been working hard on the scaffolding, painting a white stripe behind President Obama's portrait. David is hands down the quietest of the group. We sat down for our interview, eager to rest his aching shoulders he told me a little about his history with Mural Arts.

Why did you apply for the internship? I was a part of Mural Arts' Mural Corps., the next best thing was the internship program.


What do you plan on gaining from this experience? Good recommendations for future projects.


Future Plans? I hope to do my own murals some day.

What are you listening to? I have everything on my phone, from underground street to Nirvana.

Favorite color? Black and white, even if they aren't technically colors.

Favorite Food? Philly cheese steaks, I think its funny how even outside Philadelphia they're referred to as Philly cheese steaks.

Favorite Season? Winter.

Favorite Emotion? Calm or chill.

If you could be an animal...? I'd be a panther, chill up in a tree all day, nothing would mess with you.

Favorite Place on Earth? Center City Philadelphia

Did you remember sunscreen? I don't really need it.

How do you think Art can change the world? Art can inspire people to do something they should have done a while ago.
